More people mean more railways, and more railways mean more trains. When Sir Topham Hatt decided to buy a new goods train from Scotland, he got more than he paid for. Instead of one new engine, the train station received two, and not just two trains, but twin trains. Donald and Douglas the Scottish Twin Trains occasionally get into trouble, but usually prove to be really useful engines, able to pull trains long and short.Both in black and nearly inseparable, the two twin trains from Scotland, Donald and Douglas are identical in every way, except for their numbering. When they arrived at the station, Sir Topham Hatt numbered Douglas 10 and his brother Donald 9, but after the twin trains tricked him by swapping numbers, he gave them name plates too.
The twin engines ride the rails with Thomas and his friends. Both Donald and Douglas the Scottish Twin Trains were included in the original Thomas Wooden Railway in 1995, but have since been discontinued. Before they leave the wooden railway for good, you can add Douglas, one of the rambunctious twin trains, to the tracks of your child’s train set. Don’t forget his brother Donald. Both toys measure 7 inches including coal cars. Coal cars connect to engines by magnets.
