When a new engine arrives Thomas and friends want to put it in its place. Arthur came to the Island of Sodor from the London Midland Scottish Railway with a spotless driving record and a spotless paintjob. Thomas the Tank Engine did not care for Arthur’s pristine history and appearance so he devised a plan to soil both. After causing an accident, Thomas apologized to Arthur and now counts the new engine among his friends. On the side of his maroon engine the letters LMS remind Arthur where he came from. Arthur is still proud of his nearly perfect track record and gold trimmed paint. He looks like a dapper engine when he carefully travels the railways.
In “New Friends for Thomas”, Arthur joined Thomas and Friends. The Thomas Wooden Railway introduced Arthur as a wooden toy train in 2005. At 4 inches long, with his unique maroon coloring and distinct face, Arthur is a great addition to any toy train set or collection.
Thomas Wooden Railway toy trains are compatible with BRIO train sets.
