James the Red Engine is the bright red engine with the glimmering gold number 5 on his coal car. His bold coloring matches his bold personality which sometimes gets him into trouble. James the Red Engine has ideas about what work is suitable for an engine of his stature, but Sir Topham Hat keeps him in line. Sir Topham Hatt knows James is an important part of his fleet, so when things get a little off track, he puts James back on the straight and narrow. Now little engineers can hear Sir Topham Hatt proclaim James’ name as he rolls through the station and onto the next stop. Designed in conjunction with the new Talking Railway Series destinations, Talking Railway James and the station both feature engine recognition technology that causes Sir Topham Hatt to announce the name of the trains as they chug through the station. When Sir Topham Hatt is not at the station, the sound of James’ confident whistle can be heard. Sized like other Thomas Wooden Railway wooden trains, the Talking Railway James toy train is compatible with the tracks of Thomas Wooden Railway and can be used without the Stop and Greet Station, but the Stop and Greet Station is needed to hear Sir Topham Hatt greet James as he passes.
New to Thomas Wooden Railway, the Talking Railway Series enlivens the tracks of train sets with the sights and sounds of Sodor. Sir Topham Hatt takes his place as the best conductor around when he greets his favorite engines by name with personalized greetings. Hear the bells and whistles of Thomas, James, Edward and more like never before, with the addition of the Stop and Greet Station, other Talking Railway Series destinations and, of course, the Talking Railway trains. Talking Railway Series trains can be distinguished from other wooden toy trains by their golden magnetic connectors.
