Every train is important on the Island of Sodor, whether it is pulling passenger cars, freight cars, or even empty wagons. Sir Topham Hatt brought Molly to the yard in the episode Molly’s Special Special, but Molly didn’t feel special on that first day. Pulling empty wagons, Molly knew the other trains thought she wasn’t as important as them. Thomas saw that Molly was sensitive about pulling empty wagons so he covered her wagons so the other engines wouldn’t realize they were empty.Molly always looks special wearing bright yellow with red stripes. No other train in the yard looks like Molly. Even if she’s pulling empty wagons Molly does it with a smile. Thomas and Friends enjoy having this special train riding the railways with them.
