The trains at Sir Topham Hatt’s Railway have hearts in their engines, as well as steam. They know, when one train is lost, all the trains suffer, even if that train is from a different station. In the story “Escape” Douglas helps Oliver, his coach Isabel, and his break-van Toad escape from the Other Railway before nearly being scrapped. Sometimes Oliver can forget that he did not escape on his own and begins to boast of his bravery.Joining Thomas and his friends later than the other trains, Oliver became the 11th engine in the yard. He keeps his GWR emblem on the side of his tank to remind him of his great escape. Toy train of Oliver has magnetic connectors at either end.
For a limited time in 2006, Thomas Wooden Railway reissued Oliver, who had not been seen since 2003. Though Oliver has already returned to the shed, while supplies last, Oliver is still available to be added to your son or daughter’s set of Thomas the Tank Engine toys.
Thomas Wooden Railway toy trains are compatible with BRIO train sets.
