Thomas the Tank Engine Wooden Railway Recall Information
There is a recall on a small number of Thomas Wooden Railway train pieces that came from one factory (no longer being used). The affected pieces have lead in the surface paint, so are not suitable for children. At this time, there have been no reports of illness or injury as a result of this issue. We have pulled all remaining inventory of the affected items and made them non-orderable online, so any item with an add to cart button is NOT affected by this limited recall. Replacements for the 9 items recalled in their current lineup are expected to arrive late summer. All of the other Thomas items are perfectly safe.
Additionally, though not a requirement of the recall, we emailed all customers who purchased the recalled items. For more details of the affected items, return instructions and other details, visit the RC2 website link below.

Update: 9/26/2007, 4 more items are in the recall, but not all of them are current items anymore. Be assured none of the recalled items are for sale on the website.
Also attached is a new letter from Learning Curve/RC2 affirming their commitment to safety and covering the steps they're taking to make sure this never happens again.
